The Long Island Media Arts Show celebrates Long Island's Creative Digital Visual Arts Students with an Industry Conference and Juried Exhibition Friday, April 21, 2023 and a black-tie awards ceremony on May 13th,2023.  The Juried Exhibition will include work in Film, Photography, 2D Art, and Animation. Student filmmakers and artists from the college and community are encouraged to push their creativity and skills to new levels, and submit work to be considered.
 

LIMAS: Conference 4/21/23

The Conference invites 125 Long Island High Schools to a unique experience that features Professional Presentations with Speakers, Workshops, and Demonstrations on Innovation and Career Success in the Digital Visual Arts Industry.

LIMAS: Luminaries Awards 5/13/23

The Luminaries Awards honors young filmmakers, photographers, animators and media producers across Long Island and the tristate area. This red carpet, black-tie event invites high school and FTC students with their family and friends to celebrate together. Approximately 50 industry and teaching professionals donate their time to judge and critique accepted student entries. A combine total of 42 awards/trophies are given throughout the night.  Last year over 400 high school submissions were accepted from more than 30+ Long Island high schools.

These events are offered to all participants at no cost to them. In an effort to offset the costs of running these events, providing awards, and small honorariums to each of our esteemed guest speakers, we are reaching out to you, our strongest supporters, to ask for your financial assistance. We hope that you will please consider donating to this worthy endeavor.
